I try to make a list when I go to the market. However, the greatest pleasure comes from things you never planned for. You see something, and you just have to buy it. These sweet baby peppers were the prefect examine. How can you not want them? Each was the prefect hue a sweet pepper should be. Each was perfectly shaped. They were mini ones, each no bigger than an egg. You would have thought they were grown for showing, not eating.

After getting them, I agonised over what to do with them. I wanted to keep them mostly intact, and not to overcook them so they retain their colour. I wanted them to taste good.

In the end, I decided to stuff them, with well-seasoned minced pork. Recipes for stuffed peppers usually call for baking in a oven, but these things were so small I figured I could fry them on a pan.

The pan allowed me to brown the meat nicely.

And since I was into things in miniature, I fried up some quail eggs. I must say, fried quail eggs are delicious!
